Private Pilot Licence (PPL)

This course will provide you with all the necessary knowledge and skills so that you can put yourself in charge of any single-engine aircraft on unpaid flights.

You can fly to any destination in the world and even, take passengers.

No previous experience or specific training is required in order to obtain the private pilot license.

The theoretical part of the Private Pilot Course consists of 108 theoretical hours of training divided into 9 subjects:
  • Air Law
  • Principles of flight
  • Navigation
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • Human factors
  • Communications
  • Meteorology
  • Performances
  • Operation procedures

At the end of the courses the students will have to pass an exam for each of the above mentioned subjects. All of the exams are in the multiple choice format and require a 75% pass mark.

The course requires a minimum of forty-five hours flying time, including ten hours solo flight.

At the end of the course the student will have to pass a skill test with an examiner.

The skills test will examine your general handling and navigation skills.

  • Min 16 years of age
  • Pass a medical examination accredited by EASA (Class 2)

Are you interested in becoming a pilot or do you just have a few questions about our offer? Just contact us and we will handle the rest.

Night Rating (NR)

The objective of the Night Rating (NR) course is to qualify Private Pilot Licence (PPL) holders to exercise the privileges of the licence at night under VFR (Visual Flight Rules).

Night rating allows you to fly at night as well as being a requirement for commencing your Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course.

The Night Rating course consists of at least 5 hours of theoretical preparation and a minimum of 5 hours of flight training.

4 hours of practical flight training should be dual, including 1 hour night navigation exercise. The last hour of practical training must be a Solo flight and must include 5 full stop landings.

You will learn how to prepare a Night flight, what is the minimum equipment required and how to handle the airplane during night.

You will also review all the basic maneuvers learnt during the PPL training.

  • Applicants must hold a valid PPL licence
  • Applicants must have a valid Class 2 Medical certificate

Are you interested in becoming a pilot or do you just have a few questions about our offer? Just contact us and we will handle the rest.

Multi-Engine Piston (MEP)

The objective of the Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) course is to qualify Private Pilot Licence (PPL) holders to pilot multi-engine aircraft VFR (Visual Flight Rules) conditions.

The theoretical part consists of the following 6 subjects (a minimum of 7 hours coursework):

  • Air frame
  • Engine
  • Electrical systems
  • Fuel and oil systems
  • Principles of flight
  • Normal, abnormal and emergency procedures

The practical part consists of at least 13 hours of flight on a multi-engine aircraft.

After the course the student will have to pass a practical flight exam with an examiner.

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • Applicant must hold a valid PPL licence
  • Applicant must have 70 hours as a pilot-in-command (PIC)
  • Applicant must have a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate

Are you interested in becoming a pilot or do you just have a few questions about our offer? Just contact us and we will handle the rest.

Instrument Rating (IR)

The Instrument Rating (IR) Course is designed to teach pilots to operate aircraft in low-visibility environments, such as heavy cloud cover or heavy rain. The flight lessons in the course provide pilots the knowledge to rely solely on instruments to navigate the aircraft in situations where they cannot rely on visual instincts.

This will allow you to fly under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) under Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

Instrument Rating (IR) training consists of 56 hours of flights.

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • Applicant must hold a valid PPL licence
  • Applicant must have 50 hours as a pilot-in-command (PIC)
  • Applicant must have passed the theoretical exams during the PPL course
  • Applicant must have a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate

Are you interested in becoming a pilot or do you just have a few questions about our offer? Just contact us and we will handle the rest.

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)

The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) is basically a more advanced Private Pilot Licence (PPL), requiring greater accuracy in flying and a higher standard of airmanship. The holder of a CPL is able to act as pilot in command of a small piston engined aircraft that holds less than 9 passengers for commercial purposes such as revenue flights in visual conditions (VMC).

The Commercial Pilot Licence is valid for multi engine aircraft only if the Commercial Pilot Licence skills test is passed in a multi engine aircraft, otherwise privileges are restricted to single engined aircraft.

The Commercial Pilot Licence course consists of 25 hours of specific flight training.

At the end of training, and when all requirements for licence issue have been met, you will need to take a skill test with an examiner.

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • Applicant must hold a valid PPL licence
  • Applicant must have 70 hours as a pilot-in-command (PIC) and 150 hours of total flight time
  • Applicant must have passed the theoretical ATPL/CPL exams
  • Applicant must have a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate

Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) - Frozen

The Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is the highest level of aircraft pilot licence, required to command aircraft over 5700 kg or with over 9 passenger seats.

A Frozen ATPL holder refers to somebody who has passed all the required theoretical exams but does not qualify him to be issued with a full ATPL until he has logged a total of 1500 hours.

A student from our flight school will normally graduate with a PPL (Private Pilot Licence), NR (Night Rating), MEP (Multi-Engine Piston), IR (Instrument Rating) and a CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) which is also known as a Frozen ATPL.

The Airline Transport Pilot Licence training consist of the following theoretical courses:

  • Instrumentation
  • General Navigation
  • Meteorology
  • Human Performance and Limitations
  • Radio Navigation
  • Aircraft Systems
  • Air Law
  • Communications
  • Operational Procedures
  • Principles of Flight
  • Performance
  • Mass and Balance

After completing the coursework the student will have to pass all their exams to prove a sufficient level of knowledge appropriate for the privileges of the holder of an ATPL in accordance with EASA  requirements.

  • minimum 18 years of age
  • Applicant must have a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate
  • Applicant must be proficient in the English language
  • Applicant must have sufficient knowledge of Mathematics and Physics
